Mô tả công việc
1. Definition of the job: A research and development (R&D) manager organizes a team of engineers to create new and refine existing products and technologies through a process of researching, designing, experimenting and testing. Their typical duties include: creating and developing new products to meet consumer needs.

3. Position responsibilities:
3.1. Managing and organizing R&D team
- Manage and direct the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products.
- Develop and implement research and development procedures and techniques.
- Oversee complex research projects, analyzes results and provides recommendations based on findings. Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget.
- Manage/allocate R&D resource to leverage opportunity projects to get awarded and go to mass production successfully (on time and on cost).
- Monitor all projects progress in 'feasibility phase' to predict or take early actions/escalation to keep projects on track and unblock technical issues.
- Assist in the generation of technical proposals and cost estimates.
- Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate business problem statements into technical solutions.
- Leverage the latest technology. Know that technology has a solution for everything – right from efficient task management and simplified collaboration to effortless reporting and time tracking.
- Support/Resolve customer complaints to the full satisfaction of the customer regarding technical matters.
- Manage sample line, ensure samples to be on time for delivery. Review and optimize sample plan according to toolings, raw material, production process and manpower; understand Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Manage department's budget

- Deploy company policies and guidelines to employees
3.2. Development of employees and performance evaluation
- Train and act as mentors to their employees and teach them skills that they can use as they advance their careers.
- Coordinate with associated departments to prepare the training plans aiming to enhance the skills of the employees and measuring their effectiveness.
- Advice seminars, workshops, and conferences based on each department’s needs
- Monitor the employee performance during the working time to ensure proper assessment of the weak/strong points of the employee is done - or whether disciplinary actions are needed -, contract revision and managing promotion/demotion.
- Coach employee under area of responsibility
- Follow up the job carried out by his team and detects blocking points or risks
- Define priorities according to situation, context and direction received from management
- Evaluate performance of staff under supervision
- Report timely to upper manager with clearly presented data
- Manage conflicts: including conflicts between members of their team or between teams
- Develop, motivate, and challenge team members with the aim to develop the team
Yêu cầu
1. Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical-Electronics, Power Electronics or related fields.
2. Experience: At least 1 year in same position or 3-5 years in related positions

- Engineering & Design: Electrical, Mechanical, Magnetism Design*, Power Electronics, Analog/Digital Electronics, Mechanical Modeling*, Electronic Simulation, Magnetic & Thermal Simulation
- Tools & Processes: SolidWorks/Onshape, PSIM/LTSpice/Simulink, Excel*, ANSYS/Maxwell/Icepack, DFMEA*, SAP*, SharePoint*
- Manufacturing Knowledge: Winding, Soldering, Assembling, Testing, Automation, Plastic & Metal Materials, LPM & HPM
- Quality & Project Management: Quality Systems (ISO), Costing, Project Integration, FMEA/Risk Analysis
