Job Description

1. Definition of the job: The Production Manager is the owner of the production process, monitored by performance indicators such as scrap, productivity, plan fulfillment, and manpower planning. Operates through manufacturing working instructions that help to maintain order, safety, and quality on the shop floor.

3. Position responsibilities:
3.1. Production
- Prepare manpower planning based on production planning, ensuring no excess people when demand drops and enough people to deliver when demand increases. Control OT rate to meet the target rate as defined.
- Daily follow-up and guide Production Supervisor in taking action related to productivity, such as machine breakdowns and poor-quality raw materials. Ensure productivity forecast is updated with actions to achieve monthly targets.
- Daily follow-up and guide Manufacturing Engineering in taking action for scrap. Ensure scrap forecast is updated with actions to achieve monthly targets.
- Follow up daily on the notification of factory output, detect drops in output from the production line, and take action together with the Production Supervisor to ensure production fulfillment across the whole factory to achieve the target.
- Ensure production work follows 5S and safety rules. Ensure containment action is implemented within 24 hours when a labor accident occurs.
- Monitor the hiring and training process with the Production Supervisor to ensure resources and employees are qualified for production.
- Ensure inventory activity is maintained in production. Work with the Production Supervisor on raw materials with high loss and gain.
- Ensure the production team maintains QRQC activity. Join to advise and analyze issues in the QRQC area randomly.
- Involve the quality team to solve customer complaints. Ensure the production line runs with containment action after receiving complaints to avoid defects escaping to the customer again.
- Prepare and manage the production budget: direct labor cost, number of operators, OT rate.
- Monitor and ensure Monozukuri is applied in production.

3.2. New project:
- Coordinate with Engineering to prepare the layout for new projects.
- Prepare manpower for new projects following the industrialization plan.
- Coordinate with Engineering to prepare ramp-up plans and confirm with Planning based on the status of new projects.

3.3. Continual Improvement:
- Lead kaizen activity in production, optimize the process to improve productivity, and eliminate waste in production.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.

Requirement(s)

Education: Bachelor's degree and a suitable technical degree from technical schools, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Experience: At least 3-5 years as a Supervisor or 2 years as a Production Manager in a similar company.
