Job Description

  • Responsible for designing and developing Powertrain (including Engine - transmission, Electric Drive System, Thermal Management System, Control System - VCU calibration)
  • Develop the strategy, architecture, and technical solutions for powertrain systems to meet targets for functionality, performance, cost, quality, and product development timing. Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and technology trend analysis to propose optimal technical.
  • Prepare plans, organize, and manage the allocation of powertrain development tasks; coordinate with design, testing, and supplier teams.
  • Lead the integrated design and design validation process for powertrain systems; analyze and resolve technical issues arising during development.
  • Monitor project timing, evaluate quality, manage risks, and control powertrain development costs.
  • Support prototype build, testing, trial production, and technical issue resolution during production. Act as the technical focal point for powertrain-related matters and support relevant departments throughout the product development process.

Requirement(s)

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automotive Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or other related disciplines.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive powertrain system development.
  • Candidates with experience working in foreign automotive corporations/groups, especially from China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, etc., are preferred.
  • Age & Health:
  • From 35 to 45 years old.
  • Good health condition.
  • Working Attitude:
  • Strong system thinking and cross-functional integration capability;
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams.
  • Strong capability in technical analysis, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Leadership & Management Competency:
  • Strong system thinking and cross-functional integration capability;
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and guide engineering teams.
  • Strong capability in technical analysis, problem solving, and decision making.
  • Professional Competency, Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of transmission systems, driveline systems, thermal management systems, control systems, and control calibration for ICE, HEV, PHEV, EREV, and BEV vehicles.
  • Strong capability in technical analysis, project timing management, cost control, and professional English communication.
  • Experience in system integration, testing, validation, and reliability assessment of powertrain systems.
  • Good understanding of DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, GD&T, and automotive product development processes.
  • Proficient in powertrain system design and simulation software such as AVL CRUISE, CATIA, or equivalent tools.
