Job Description

- We are looking for an experienced AP AR Accountant to join our team, managing the end-to-end accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring compliance with client’s policies, Australian Accounting standards, and tax regulations. The role involves accurately and promptly processing of invoices, bookkeeping, payments, resolving discrepancies, month-end reconciliation and reporting, and providing ad hoc support if required. This role will directly communicate with client’s stakeholders, including communicating with customers, vendors, and employees.
* What You'll Do:
- Process and post accounts payable/receivable transactions accurately into the accounting system.
- Maintain detailed and organized records and ensure compliance with company’s policies and procedures.
- Update and manage vendor and customer database.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries and promptly resolve payment discrepancies.
- Process various payment methods for both vendor invoices and customer payment.
- Follow up on incoming vendor payments due and overdue customer payments.
- Review employee reimbursement forms and match against receipts.
- Perform monthly accounts payable/receivable reconciliations for closing.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with managers on monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Communicate effectively with team members in different time zones.
- Establish strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Be able to work in a team or independently.
- Contribute to language-related projects and initiatives.
- Perform other ad hoc tasks assigned by managers.
Requirement(s)
* Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, or an Associate’s degree plus equivalent experience.
- At least 3+ year of experience as accountant.
- Knowledge of Australian Accounting standards (preferred).
* Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Accounting software (Xero, Quickbooks, MYOB …).
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable and receivable processes.
- A strong understanding of debit notes/credit notes and claims is critical.
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage financial records accurately.
- Advanced Excel skills.

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- The ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
